Searching for a wedding filmmaker who captures your day in a seamless and considerate way?

You are my people.

A calming presence who is not there to direct or perform. My role is be humble, let you feel your feelings and let you take centre stage in your love story.

I personally craft every film, with my signature style inspired by my deep love of cinema and an open heart.

HAPPY COUPLES

Choosing your wedding cinematographer is a big deal.

In fact, choosing to invest in the longevity of your memories is paramount.

Ciao, amici. I’m Carlo Peritore.

I craft wedding films, am a cinema tragic (some say cine-dork), and film critic who runs a film review site. I’m also a comic book and anime die-hard and aspiring screenwriter.

As a bad Italian (I don’t call my mother enough, I choose tequila over grappa) who tries to be a good Italian (espresso is my lifeblood, can make pasta from scratch) — I am a hopeless romantic.

I’ve seen
it all.

Let me be your Gandalf. I am here to guide you without standing in your way. I’ve encountered and handled every challenge you can think of. Nothing surprises me or throws me off what’s most important - your story.

Given my years honing my craft, chances are I already know your other wedding vendors and work amazingly with them. In fact, 90% of my mates are “colleagues”.

I don't
outsource.

You’re assembling a team of extraordinary individuals to bring your big day to life. I take that responsibility very seriously.

You’ll be working with me the whole way through, and from my experience, our personal connection and continuity is what makes for a film you’ll love and cherish for a lifetime.

In the 14 years behind the camera, I’ve never missed a wedding.

Organic
moments.

You’ve noticed the words ‘candid’ and ‘unposed’ thrown around a lot in the wedding video and photo space.

This my promise to never ask you to do anything you are not comfortable with.

Yes, capturing the authentic makes my job a little harder, to record the moments as they happen organically, but it’s always my most favourite of challenges.

Pillow talk: Kind words from my couples

For couples who want their love story captured with intention.

BEHIND THE NAME LunaRossa

Luna Rossa aka “Red Moon” comes from an old Italian song from my childhood. It is about longing, romance, and two lovers confessing the desire of love under the same moon.

The logomark is inspired by the goddess of soul, Psyche - the immortal wife of cupid. She represents love, guidance, and devotion.

Luna Rossa Films exists for the good souls - for the romantics, the weirdos, and the quietly devoted.

Film reviews

Check out my film review outlet This Is Film. You can check out my latest reviews here and our Instagram here.

You’ll catch me at screenings once or twice a week. Just in case it’s not clear by this point - I am a massive film nerd.

Creative projects

As a screenwriter an cinematographer, I love staying creative and working on film outside of Luna Rossa. Recently I’ve worked on award-winning short film Born to Hustle & Breaking the Line and I have other film projects currently in progress.

Podcasting

On Three Scene Heroes my mates and I chat shit about movies and go off on totally inappropriate tangents. My movie nerdiness also features on The Schlock and Awe Podcast from time to time.
