Ciao, amici. I’m Carlo Peritore.
I craft wedding films, am a cinema tragic (some say cine-dork), and film critic who runs a film review site. I’m also a comic book and anime die-hard and aspiring screenwriter.
As a bad Italian (I don’t call my mother enough, I choose tequila over grappa) who tries to be a good Italian (espresso is my lifeblood, can make pasta from scratch) — I am a hopeless romantic.

I consider myself a rare breed, someone who still believes in true love, romance, soulmates and the long-forgotten art of yearning, so much so that I dreamt of my wedding since I was a little boy.
I met the love of my life capturing someone else’s lovestory, falling head over heels for the maid of honour. Ask me nicely and I’ll tell you all about it.
We got married in December of 2024. In planning (and paying for!) our wedding, there was no better event that brought me closer to the lived experience of my couples, allowing me to really hone-in on the journey to your wedding day, and has helped me craft a world-class experience for everyone who walks through my door.
I know from experience what it’s like to interact with a wedding filmmaker on one of the most important days of my life. To sit down and watch our wedding film and footage, and fall in love with my wife all over again every time I do. It’s a feeling and sensation I want all of my couples to have.

Yes, capturing the authentic makes my job a little harder, to record the moments as they happen organically, but it’s always my most favourite of challenges.

BEHIND THE NAME LunaRossa
Luna Rossa aka “Red Moon” comes from an old Italian song from my childhood. It is about longing, romance, and two lovers confessing the desire of love under the same moon.
The logomark is inspired by the goddess of soul, Psyche - the immortal wife of cupid. She represents love, guidance, and devotion.
Luna Rossa Films exists for the good souls - for the romantics, the weirdos, and the quietly devoted.

As a screenwriter an cinematographer, I love staying creative and working on film outside of Luna Rossa. Recently I’ve worked on award-winning short film Born to Hustle & Breaking the Line and I have other film projects currently in progress.
